Hand in Hand: a Benefit for Flood Recovery

Past event
Jul 27, 2023, 5 to 7:30 PM

As historic flooding continues to impact Vermont communities, businesses across the state are experiencing significant damage. In response, VBSR is shifting our monthly networking event to a benefit for flood recovery in partnership with Folino's Pizza.

100% of donations and sponsorship fees as well as a portion of the evening's bar sales will go to the Vermont Main Street Flood Recovery Fund supporting small businesses impacted by flooding. We will also be collecting donations at the event via cash, check, and card to be added to the fund. All donations are tax-deductible through Capstone Community Action.

Join us on July 27th for an evening of delicious wood-fired, naturally leavened pizza, a cash bar serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (including craft brews from VBSR members Whetstone Beer Co. & Zero Gravity Craft Brewery) and inspirational stories from our host, Folino's Pizza, about their Climate Change Initiative.

This is a great opportunity to come together in support of businesses who have been impacted, refuel with in-person connection, gain inspiration, and give back. This event is open to all.

Are you a business who's been impacted by heavy rainfall or flooding? Looking for other ways to support business recovery? Check out the VBSR Flood Recovery Guide for Businesses, which compiles opportunities to both provide and receive support, including financial and other assistance.

Food & Drinks
Our hosts will provide free finger foods for attendees, including gluten free and vegan options. Additionally, Folino's will have its bar open with drinks for purchase including non-alcoholic options.

Thank you to our host!
Our host, Folino's Pizza, has been a staple in the Vermont pizza scene since 2012, and has made it their mission to give people delicious pizza and also to give back to the planet through the Folino's family farm. Their tree farm is an exciting agricultural venture, an offshoot of the 52 Kids Foundation, established to put into practice years of lessons learned in agriculture; agroforestry, and animal and crop industry.

Thank you to our sponsors!
