HILL WEST CEMETERY ASSOCIATION

At the request of Association President Jeffrey Jewett, all Association members are invited to the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Association, which will be held as follows:

Montgomery Town Office Conference Room
Public Service Building, Mountain Road, Montgomery Center

All persons owning lots in the Hill West Cemetery are members of the Association and are thereby entitled to voice and vote at the Annual Meeting. Hill West Cemetery is owned by the Town of Montgomery, so all Montgomery residents are welcome to attend and participate in discussions.

Agenda items at the annual meeting will include: President's Report, Clerk's Report, Treasurer's Report, Maintenance Report, Election of Officers, Old Business, New Business, Collection of Dues. Participants are welcome to bring refreshments to share during and after the meeting.

We will also pay tribute to Irene Jewett, who served as association clerk for about 30 years. Irene died at age 93 on June 30 at her home in Richford, surrounded by her family. She was a lovely person, and she kept meticulous records for the association. We offer condolences to Jeff Jewett, our president, and other members of the Jewett family, who have long been committed to the cemetery. We will miss her. Her funeral was held on July 6 at Richford First Baptist Church, followed by burial at Hill West Cemetery.

Dues Note: The current minimum for dues is $5.00/year, and higher amounts are encouraged. Members not attending the annual meeting are requested to send dues checks made out to the Hill West Cemetery Association to: Treasurer Nancy Lumbra, 1151 Gibou Rd., Montgomery 05471.
