The Craftsbury Chamber Players' season continues on Wednesday, July 26 at 7:30 PM at Elley-Long Music Center at St. Michael's College (Ft. Ethan Allen Campus) in Colchester.
This week's program begins in the 20th Century with Charles Ives's Sonata No. 2 for violin and piano; we then move to contemporary works by Michael Fiday (b. 1961) and Caroline Shaw (b. 1982); the concert closes with a return to the Classical era for Beethoven's gorgeous Trio in c minor, op. 9, no. 3, for violin, viola, and cello.
Performers are Sarah Bob, piano; Katherine Winterstein, violin; Mary Rowell, viola; and Frances Rowell, cello.
Tickets are available at the door or online. Single admission – $25; Students – $10; Children 12 and under – free. Split season pass (any 4 admissions) at a discounted rate.
