West Newbury's Pollinator Parade, August 12, part of the West Newbury Summer Festival. All pollinators and participants are welcome! The parade steps out at 10:30, behind the Chief Pollinator, the Queen Bee & Consort, and the Summertime Marching Band. This year's theme, Pollinators, highlights the diversity and necessity of pollinators and the need to care for them. Join the Honeybee Steelband's swarm-- people and pets impersonating bees, on foot or any conveyance you choose. Participants of all persuasions and species, all groups, ages, and organizations are welcome to join the parade. Keep to the theme and please pre register. The parade route is less than a half mile and the weather is always sublime. Enjoy the Summer Festival in its country setting with great views and, after the parade, the fantastic picnic lunch under the tent!
