Exploring the Westford Common Area with Kurt Sherman
Presented by the Westford Historical Society
Saturday August 5th, 2023
1:30 PM
Brick Meeting House (1685 VT Rte. 128 on the Westford Common)
The Westford Historical Society will be presenting an exploration of Westford with Kurt Sherman (a long-time science teacher at Westford Elementary School).
He will do an actual "dig" at or near the Brick Meeting House (1685 VT Rte. 128) starting at 1:30 PM.
Kurt has been doing these archaeological digs with his students for many years and the students have discovered much about our town's history via these digs. We are sure to hear about some of the items they have unearthed over the years. This is an opportunity for all to participate in a "hands on" learning experience.
Plan on 90 minutes and dress for the weather as some of the presentation will take place outside. The rest will be inside the Meeting House itself.
