Feeling Stretched as a Caregiver? Age Well is offering a Powerful Tools for Caregivers class beginning this August!
Powerful Tools for Caregivers is an educational series designed to provide you with the tools you need to take care of yourself.
This program helps family caregivers reduce stress, improve self-confidence, improve communication, balance their lives, increase their ability to make tough decisions, and locate helpful resources.
The caregiver class consists of six sessions held once a week for 90 minutes. Two experienced Class Leaders conduct the series (many are experienced caregivers themselves, who have successfully applied the techniques they teach). Interactive lessons, discussions and brainstorming will help you take the "tools" you choose and put them into action for your life.
Participants will receive a book, The Caregiver Helpbook, free of charge.
For more information or to register, contact Becky Claytor or Lauren Walsh at ptc@agewellvt.org. You can also call Age Well's Helpline at 1-800-642-5119 and ask to speak with someone about the upcoming Powerful Tools for Caregivers class. Class size is limited and pre-registration is required.
Classes will be held at the Age Well Colchester office from 2:30-4:00PM. Sessions are held every Tuesday and begin on August 8th.
