At long last, after one of the most discouraging spells of rainy and cloudy weather in recent memory, the skies look like they will finally be clear on Sunday, July 23! The moon will be a thin crescent, so we'll be able to see lots of deep sky objects in the mid-summer sky!
The skies will start getting dark at around 9 PM, so our telescopes will be out and ready at that time, and we'll go until we get tired!
Please leave your flashlights at home - the path will be lighted up the hill to the observatory from the Peacham School parking lot. Bug spray is a good idea, and regardless of the temperature, a sweater is a always wise!
Check the NKAF Facebook page for last minute weather info!
We hope to see you there! Hope for clear skies!
