In 1897, a LeRoy, NY carpenter and cough syrup manufacturer and his wife added strawberry, raspberry, orange, & lemon to granulated gelatin and sugar and trademarked a gelatin dessert called "Jell-O." You can take a drive and visit the Jell-O Museum, or you can browse right here:

Tell the children you know that thanks to the generosity of Friends of the Charlotte Senior Center and the Flying Pig bookstore, there are some great book surprises coming in August at The Little Free Library for Kids at The Grange. And there's already a great selection there right this minute. Make sure the kids you care about make August the Good Read Month.
