Come join us for a volunteer work party at Round Pond State Park!
South Hero Land Trust and the Lake Champlain Land Trust staff will be leading volunteers to repair and improve the trails, clean up the beach, and removing invasive honeysuckle. No experience is necessary, though children under 16 much be accompanied by an adult.
Round Pond State Park's diverse mix of natural communities provides critical wildlife habitat for numerous animals, including deer, mink, wild turkey, and a variety of amphibians. The Round Pond Wetland is considered one of the most important wetland complexes on Lake Champlain.
All are welcome, but please leave pets at home. We will provide tools and instructions. Please email Guy@SHLT.org to let us know you're coming.
