DON'T MISS: "The Vermont Boys of Summer With a Nod to Winooski's Own Ralph La Pointe"--A talk by Tom Simon

On Sunday, July 23, 2023 at 2 pm, the Winooski Historical Society and Chittenden County Historical Society will co-host a presentation by Tom Simon titled "The Vermont Boys of Summer With a Nod to Winooski's Own Ralph La Pointe."

Tom is Vermont's leading expert on the extraordinary history of baseball in Vermont. He has edited and authored articles in The Green Mountain Boys of Summer: Vermonters in the Major Leagues, 1882-1993, and wrote a book on perhaps Vermont's greatest baseball team, "The Wonder Team in the White City: UVM at the Intercollegiate Baseball Tournament of 1893.ˆ Tom will tell us about some of the great players who hailed from Vermont.

The talk is free and open to the public, Winooski Senior Center at 123 Barlow Street
