Listen to Abenaki community members share childhood memories and ancestral knowledge about the Pine Street Barge Canal. Please bring your own lawn chair and/or blanket, any nontoxic insect spray you may need as well as gifts to offer to the Abenaki.
Arrive early to join a community effort to gather ecological inventory and support long term conservation, restoration, remediation, and rematriation aims for this fragile urban wild. At this upcoming workshop we will simultaneously run nature awareness games for youth, so bring the whole family!
For each event, please meet at the metal gate at 453 Pine Street Barge Canal. You can park across the street at Dealer.com or at the Maltex building and walk south on Pine to the gate. Bikes can be locked to the gate. Please be timely! Wear closed toed shoes and long sleeve pants and shirt for sun, insect, and poison ivy protection.
