The Central Vermont Solid Waste Management District is holding an emergency Household Hazardous Waste and EPR Collection Event in Barre City!
Barre City residents are invited to join us on Thursday, July 20th from 9am – 12pm to dispose of any HHW or EPR items that were impacted by the flood.
Where: Rotary Park, 36 Parkside Terrace, Barre City (next to Barre City Elementary and Middle School)
What we will be collecting at this event:
• Adhesives/tar
• Automotive fluids
• Fuel, gas, oil
• Chemical cleaners
• Paints, stains, sealers, thinners, and solvents
• Pesticides and herbicides
• Products with warning labels like "Caution, warning, toxic, danger, hazard, poisonous, reactive, corrosive, or flammable"
• Propane tanks
• EPR items (batteries, fluorescent bulbs, computers and TVs under 50 lbs)

This event is for residents of Barre City ONLY. Proof of residency required. There are no fees for this event. Businesses and schools must call ahead for instructions at 802-229-9383.
No containers larger than 5 gallons can be accepted at this collection; waste containers will not be returned. Keep all products in their original containers. All materials must be in trunk or bed of vehicle. No pets and no smoking.
