*Important Reminder of Upcoming Meetings*

Wednesday July 19th, 6:30pm at the Rec Field (Rain date July 20th)
- Informational meeting on the future of the coop. Your feedback is essential!
- All are welcome, including potential new members and community at large. Bring a chair!

A second informational meeting will be held over Zoom (link to follow) on Thursday August 10th at 6:30pm. The coop's Annual Member Meeting will be held on Sunday August 27th at 4:00pm at the Rec Field. These meetings will culminate in a membership vote to pursue one of the several options noted below. Voting will be via paper ballot and open at the Annual Meeting and remain open for a period of time after the meeting to allow voting by both those who attend the meeting and those who cannot. There will be additional notifications regarding the Annual Meeting agenda and voting process.

After receiving a USDA Rural Development Grant, the coop board, staff and volunteer committees have spent the last 12 months working with the Central VT Regional Planning Commission to analyze the feasibility of various options. Outside consultants (along with coop members) were engaged to examine the viability of four specific options.
- Stay in place with no major modifications to the building
- Expand and renovate the existing building to increase the size of the store
- Move to Route 2 and build a new store (Allenwood Stables was the available location considered)
- Purchase Plainfield Hardware Store on Route 2 and move the coop to that location (Increasing grocery operations and retaining essential hardware)

Under the grant, the following studies/reports were completed and will be available on the coop website shortly. Coop members will received an email that contains the link to the final reports.
- Updated Market Study of the Coop's Trade Area and Sales Forecast for each option
- Financial Feasibility Study examining each option
- Architectural study and design for possible expansion of current building

The Board of Directors is committed to pursuing the option that is in the best interest of the members and that is supported by the members. Engagement is welcomed at all levels. Please attend these meetings and reach out directly to Board members to share your feedback.
