Something I didn't learn til I moved to Vermont was that dragon boating is a well known way to recover from breast cancer and its various treatments — helping with rebuilding muscles and helping lymph circulation. Even if it's been years since your diagnosis, I found that it's an activity that will help you on your wellness journey and a great way to meet a fun group of people including breast cancer survivors. I belong to a terrific organization, Dragonheart Vermont, which is offering free paddling experiences to breast cancer survivors on Aug 5 on the Burlington Waterfront by the Coast Guard Station (and in Waterbury Center State Park on Aug 22 and 25 at 530pm).
