Hyde Park Wants You! Home Day is early this year!
As we rally together to recover from the storms and flooding, we are taking a moment to ask you to think ahead to a treasured annual event for Hyde Park. We invite anyone who lives in Hyde Park or has a business in Hyde Park to participate in Hyde Park Home Day, Saturday September 9, 2023 sponsored by the Hyde Park Community Circle (HPCC). Home Day will begin at 11 a.m. The parade will start at 12 noon. The event ends around 3:00 p.m. Note – this year's event is earlier in September than previous years. The event will be held on Saturday September 9, 2023.
This is a great event at which you may choose to showcase your business, raise money for your organization or inform the community about your products or services. Come and help us show off Hyde Park and all we have to offer to the greater community.
We are looking for Hyde Park citizens, businesses or organizations who want to be in the parade or who are interested in vending, entertaining, demonstrating or displaying arts and crafts, educating, sponsoring or providing family activities. Perhaps you would have a great item for our raffle! We are especially looking for people to provide activities (relay races, games, etc.) and demonstrations (spinning, blacksmithing, arts and crafts, weaving, etc.). If you cannot participate the day of the event, you can help by sponsoring the event. The money will be used by the HPCC for future events.
We are also looking for people who have a pickup, trailer or wagon available for floats.
If you are interested in participating, please fill out and return NO LATER THAN August 25, 2023 the attached Call to Participate form and email it to Deborah Henderson at dhenderson128@comcast.net or postal mail to Deborah Henderson, 128 Whiteface Drive, Hyde Park, VT 05655.
For information and details, contact Elisabeth Fenn at 760-0244.
