The Morristown Selectboard has tentatively set the next special election for Tuesday, August 29, 2023. The election will be held at the Morristown Municipal Building from 8:00 am – 7:00 pm.
All active Morristown voters will be mailed their ballots.
The warning has not yet been finalized but will include the revised budget and two open Selectboard seats; the three-year seat formerly held by Bob Beeman that Chris Palermo was appointed to until the next election and the two-year seat formerly held by Travis Sabataso.
Morristown residents wishing to run for either of those seats must submit a consent of candidate form and a valid petition with 30 registered Morristown voter's signatures to the Town Clerk's Office by 5:00 PM on Monday, July 24, 2023. The petition can be found online at https://morristownvt.org/candidates or by requesting a paper form from the Town Clerks' Office.
