Hi All,
I'm posting our monthly in-person meeting for The Humanist Being, our 501(c)3 non-profit religious (secular humanist) organization.
We meet at the Brownell Library in Essex, Wednesday July 12th from 7:30pm to 9:00pm. We'll be discussing our Universal Food initiative.
We, as secular humanists, believe that access to good, nutritious, affordable food is a human right. Our current food system throws out tons of food every day and has laws which make it illegal to get this food out of the dumpsters in order to protect the company's profits. We think there must be a better way. Let's get together and discuss how we can start small...and then grow programs to help with Universal Food!
Our platform includes Universal Food, Universal Shelter, Universal Education, Universal Healthcare, Universal Mental Healthcare, Universal Energy.
Doesn't it hurt your feelings that we live in the richest country in the world and we allow people to suffer amongst the plenty.
We can make a difference, without any deities or spirits. It is our hands and science that make better life.
