The Historic Salem Courthouse, in Salem New York, once again presents Al Fresco, a scrumptious dinner and a magical evening of fun and friendship on the Courthouse Lawn!

Music, laughter, dancing, a silent auction and delicious food and drink!

This is the major fundraiser for the Historic Salem Courthouse, a non-profit which provides a host of events, programs and services for the greater Salem area, including Lunch, Learn & Play, a free children's camp for over 150 kids each summer.

There are still individual tickets and tables available on the Courthouse website, www.salemcourthouse.org.

We are always looking for sponsors as well.

The menu for the Al Fresco Dinner on July 22, 2023, beginning at 5:00 pm Amuse bouche, a strawberry soup 'shooter'; sun dried tomato based spread on baguette, Indonesian meatballs with peanut sauce on the side. These dishes will be 'butlered'.

On the appetizer table: *Cabot cheese, 3 types of Yushak sausages, Boursin( cheese spread) made by Chef Michael Mahar.

Bread with butter pats on the table; Romaine and Salem mixed greens vinaigrette, Boeuf Bourguignonne (braised choice bottom round, simmered and finished in demi-glace with shiitake and button mushrooms, red wine and fresh herbs).

RIce Pilaf with scallions and chives Cajun chicken (boneless fresh chicken breast, coated with Cajun spice and seared) then brushed with garlic butter and garnished with capers.

Grilled Vegetables: red and green peppers, marinated eggplant, zucchini, halves of local corn on the grill with olive oil and garlic.

Dessert: Courthouse Cobbler( pastry filled with rhubarb, strawberries and apples) whipped cream on the side.

Beverages: water, lemonade, beer, wine and decaf coffee
