An open house will be part of the Grand Isle Historical Society's annual meeting on July 20. The 1783 Hyde Log Cabin, the 1814 Corners School and the 2019 Worthen Barn (228/230 US Rt. 2, Grand Isle) will be open to the public following a brief Historical Society business meeting at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome at the business meeting. Light refreshments will be provided.
Historical Society members Jim Hoag and Lucille Campbell are planning a short presentation about businesses in Grand Isle from 1780 to 1980. Audience participation is welcomed. Bring your recollections of businesses in town to add to the presentation. If you have photos of a by-gone business we would love to see them.
