The next meeting of the Newbury Book Discussion Group is Thursday, August 3 from 7-8PM at the Tenney Memorial Library. This month we are reading "The Beekeeper of Aleppo" by Christy Lefteri. A reviewer on Goodreads writes - "From the first word to the last, from Aleppo in Syria to the UK, from stability to uncertainty, and from the shattered lives of a brutal war to a new life in a new country, we follow an incredibly touching story of a small group of Syrian refugees." Copies of the book are available through interlibrary loan from your local library. We enjoy reading a variety of books throughout the year and make our selections from a list of books suggested by our members. We welcome newcomers any time! If you'd like to get a head start on "things," our book for September (7th) is "The Cold Dish" by Craig Johnson.
