POWER of 100
WHO WE ARE:
We are 100+ Women Who Care-Chittenden County (100WWC), a charitable giving circle with 196 members, which include 10.5 teams.
To date we have donated a combined $166,000 to 27 local nonprofits in 12 quarters (3 years)!
With our current membership we are slated to donate a combined $74,000+ this year!
HOW IT WORKS:
· 100+ women
· Each member commits to donating $100 quarterly (teams donate $50 each per person
· Members are encouraged to nominate a local nonprofit serving Chittenden County each quarter. Each nomination gets their name in the hat. Multiple people may nominate the same organization, increasing the times their name is placed in the hat.
· Three organizations' names are pulled randomly (blindly) each quarter, and a representative of each nonprofit will speak at the meeting.
· We meet quarterly for one hour via Zoom always and in person with a hybrid option offered 1-2 times each year.
· After hearing from the 3 nonprofits who shared their message & mission with us at the meeting, the members present cast their vote for the Primary recipient.
· At this time the Primary recipient receives $10,000 and the other two organizations who shared with us, split the remaining $8,600+.
