***What's the Good Citizen Challenge?
Created and sponsored by Seven Days and KidsVT, this Challenge asks Vermonters in grades K--8 to learn about their communities — and current events — and find ways to lend a hand. Complete the challenge by finishing a row of five activities on the Good Citizen Bingo card and receive a Good Citizen sticker and patch, a pocket-sized U.S. Constitution, and an invitation to a fall reception at the Vermont Statehouse, with special recognition given to those who fill in their whole card. ***How can I participate in the Good Citizen Challenge with the MRV Libraries?
Each library will be hosting a Good Citizen Challenge this summer where we'll work together to complete one of the activities on the Good Citizen Bingo Card. Attend all three library events and you'll have one Bingo row nearly complete!

***What's the first challenge activity?
At the Warren Public Library on July 12 at 6pm, we'll be working on challenge #9, "See the Spot." Do you know where to find the state historical marker in the town of Warren and what it commemorates? First we'll meet at the library to collaborate on a large-scale art project depicting Vermont's "population center." Afterwards, we'll visit the "population center" historical marker and take a group photo.

Walk-ins are welcome; an RSVP to kids@warrenlibrary.com is appreciated to help us plan for snacks. Yes, we'll have snacks! If the weather is nice, we'll enjoy working on our art project outdoors on the library lawn.
