Filling the Empty Cup Preventing & Interrupting Burnout

Past event
Sep 21, 2023, 6 to 8 PM

FREE online training for all Vermont caregivers involved with foster/adoptive/kinship families. Burnout is the exhaustion that no rest can help. As parents and caregivers in stressful circumstances, having the tools to manage and interrupt burnout helps to maintain healthy environments at home and at work. More than self-care, preventing burnout means growing an inner awareness and practicing self-compassion. This workshop will teach participants how to recognize the inner sources of burnout. Topics include: completing the stress response, toxic perfectionism, thought-shifting for wellness, healing human-giver syndrome, and calibrating and conserving energy. Participants will leave with new resources and practices to help them build their own resilience, manage work/life balance, and sustain their overall well-being. This is offered by Vermont Foster Adoptive Family Alliance and Auburn Watersong is the founder of Watersong Consulting where she is a resilience development and burnout prevention consultant and coach for individuals, non-profit leaders, and organizations.
