Resilience development for growing children and youth involves regulating nervous systems and developing healthy brains. In this workshop, participants will learn how trauma and toxic stress affect the developing brain and body and learn ways to promote healthy development despite those factors. Various practices that help to develop the resilient child will be discussed, including: attunement and co- regulation, mirror-neurons, serve and return, and self-regulation. This is offered by Vermont Foster/Adoptive Family Alliance - presented by Auburn Watersong, founder of Watersong Consulting where she is a resilience development and burnout prevention consultant and coach for individuals, non-profit leaders, and organizations.
