Vermont author Stephen Kiernan talks about his new novel "The Glass Chateau" inspired by artist Marc Chagall in his talk "Writing Under the Influence". Kiernan is the author of five fiction books including "Universe of Two", "The Curiosity", "The Baker's Secret" and "The Hummingbird"; and two nonfiction books, "Last Rights" and "Authentic Patriotism". Kiernan's new novel, inspired by Chagall, is "a novel of hope, healing, and the redemptive power of art, set against the turmoil of post-World War II France" and has just been released, already receiving several starred reviews. Books will be available for sale. Kiernan's talk is the 16th Annual Summer Author Talk, a series featuring prominent local authors.
