A Cappella Lollapalooza Sunday, July 9, 6:30 pm

Outside concert with an option to picnic on the green at 5:30, weather permitting; otherwise, the concert will move inside the barn. Three ensembles of different styles will perform at this event. The Root 7 ensemble appears with the Green Mountain Chorus and the Chordination barbershop quartet. Root 7 is a contemporary mixed a cappella group that features voices and vocal percussion. Their energetic renditions include songs by Pink, James Bay, Rusted Root, Lauren Daigle, Jason Mraz, and more. The Green Mountain Chorus of men from Vermont has sounded the chords of Barbershop harmony together for over 70 years. A unique form of a cappella singing, Barbershop employs close four-part harmony. This chorus livens it up with a little comedy and audience participation—to the delight of audiences of all ages. The Chordination quartet of unaccompanied singers delivers tunes from pop, folk, and Broadway traditions, arranged in the Barbershop Style.
