The 44th Annual Middlebury Summer Festival on-the-Green – a free, family-friendly series of performances supported by community donations and volunteers – delights audiences during the week of July 9 through 15, 2023, under the big white tent on the Village Green, Middlebury, VT. "Brown Bag" family-friendly programs are presented from Noon until 1 p.m. weekdays with evening musical performances from 7 until 8:30 p.m. on Sunday and 7 until 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
The Durham County Poets – a Québec-based blues, roots, and soul band – opens this year's Festival on Sunday, July 9. The fantastic lineup booked by our Program Committee also features Faux Paws, Kyshona, Yacouba Sissoko, Bombajazzeando, The Garifuna Collective, The Ruta Beggars, Genticorum, Sarah King, and The Krishna Guthrie Band. The "Brown Bag" family series will entertain and enchant noontime audiences and a Street Dance with the Vermont Jazz Ensemble serves as the grand finale.
The lineup for the weekday "Brown Bag" series (Monday-Friday) features Magician Tom Verner; Robert Rivest, Comic Mime; No Strings Marionette Company; Vermont Troubadour Jon Gailmor; and Middlebury Community Music Center Steel Drum Camp Band.
Events are held rain or shine. Free admission; donations welcomed. Mexico in Vermont and Middlebury Volunteer Ambulance Alumni will be on site selling food and snacks.
