Blues for Breakfast Aug. 12

Past event
Aug 12, 2014

Blues for Breakfast will rock at Tuesday Night Live on August 12, 2014 on the Legion Field from 6 to 8:30 PM. The group offers a blend of blues, originals, R&B, Dead and reggae, that will have you energized and dancing until dark. Charlie Frazier (lead vocals, harp, percussion), Seth Yacovone (guitar, vocals), Sheila Metcalf (keyboard), Nick DeNoia (bass), and Trevor Ainsworth (drums) promise a great show.

Stop by the Conservation Commission tent for a photo op with the emerald ash borer and to learn more about bug stuff, tree houses, wildflowers and more. Sue Lovering and other CC members will be on-hand to answer any natural resource questions. Be sure to bring your camera.

The Historical Society will offer slices of homemade pie, Alice’s sensational carrot cake as well as McKenzie grilled hotdogs and fresh-made salads. So far this season, 27 bakers have prepared the delicious pies. There is no need to cook supper in Johnson on Tuesday night. Young, old, and everyone in between can enjoy the music, the festive atmosphere, and the chance to visit with many vendors, friends, and neighbors. Just bring a chair or blanket.

Tuesday Night Live is free thanks to the generous support of local businesses: Chuck’s Bikes, Concept 2, Foote Brook Farm, Forget Me Not Shop, Johnson Hardware/Rental, Johnson State College, Laraway Youth and Family Services, and Polow, Polow & Mahoney. Also, R. E. Construction, Rock Art Brewery, Sterling Market, The Studio Store, Vermont Studio Center, and Carrie Cook Design. Contact: Lois at (802) 635-7826 or cal_05656@yahoo.com.
