"Getting together makes life better." There's no doubt about that.
Guilford Cares is taking that idea one step further:
Guilford seniors (65 and older) are invited to attend a new Support Group which will meet two times per month. The first meetings start in July on the 6th and 20th and will continue every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month at the Broad Brook Community Center from 1:00 – 2:00 pm.
We will be getting together regularly to talk about the challenges of aging in place. Deb Albright, retired nurse and professional facilitator, will help the group follow some simple guidelines, but it will be the participants who determine what comes up for discussion. We expect a range of topics including health and fitness, loneliness, communication with family, and change in general. Fellow seniors will have insights and helpful ideas to share.
Come to the Broad Brook Community Center, 3940 Guilford Center Road, on July 6th and July 20th at 1:00 pm to talk about what's on your mind and to get support from other seniors who understand. Light refreshments will be served.
