The South Hero Volunteer Fire Department and Auxiliary will be having the annual Chicken Barbecue at the station at 131 Community Lane on July 4th prior to the parade.
Chickens can be purchased beginning at 7:00 AM on a cash basis and the cost per half chicken $8.50.
A sellout of chickens usually occurs, so please plan to arrive early, and buy your chicken. If you are new to the community, this annual event is a tradition including our secret BBQ sauce.
In addition to chickens, the auxiliary will have T-shirts available supporting the department.
Wear your new T-shirt to the 4th of July Parade later that day to support the department!
