The public is invited to bring any antique samplers and girlhood embroideries in their own collections to the Sampler ID day on *Saturday, July 15 from 10:00 to 4:00 *at Union Hall in Newfane Village. Your sampler will be photographed and documented for inclusion in the Sampler Initiative's Archive online database. You will learn more about your sampler and receive a high-resolution professional photograph to take home (along with your sampler of course!) Walk-ins are welcome, but if you have three or more samplers in your collection, please contact us to make an appointment. We are also looking for volunteers to assist with the Sampler ID day; so please contact us if this might be of interest.
