Willie the Jumping Frog, a children’s book reading at Varnum Library:

Local Author Bill Skiff will read his new book, which follows Willie, a frog who wants to participate in the 4th of July frog jumping contest. Bill Skiff started the frog jumping contest in Williston 25 years ago—over 70 young contestants—and their frogs--participated this year.
In the story, Willie must get the children to find him and enter him in the contest; he must overcome the challenges of training, and work up his courage to jump alongside larger frogs. Does Willie have what it takes to win the contest? Skiff isn’t about to give away the ending: “To find out how the story ends, come to the Varnum Library on August 14th at 10:00 a.m.”
