Boater Training Safety Courses

This program is offered every year with the support of Apple Island Campground and Marina hosting the event at their clubhouse. There are two 3-day classes (3 hours per day) offered with training provided by the US Coast Guard and the Vermont State Police. This program provides the boater safety training necessary to receive a Vermont Boaters Safety Certificate which is required to operate a boat on any lake in Vermont for anyone born after 1973. The course is offered at no charge.

This year the courses will be held July 18-20 and again August 15-17 from 6pm – 9pm each night. Attendees must attend all 3 nights and pass a closed-book test in order to receive their boating certificate. Please contact Apple Island Marina at (802) 373-3922 to register and reserve a spot.
