Reading/West Windsor Aging in Place is sponsoring Walk with Ease, a Wellness Program via Senior Solutions, that uses the simple activity of walking to improve health and well-being. Walk with Ease can be used by those with joint replacements or who use assistive devices such as a cane or walker. Many of our seniors would benefit greatly from a gentle walking regimen, but worry about joint pain, stiffness, or falling. Walk With Ease is an evidenced-based walking program developed by the Arthritis Foundation to help seniors get out and start a safe, healthy walking habit. The Walk With Ease program comes with personal lessons on walking, breathing, and gentle stretching, and information about joint pain. It starts where you are comfortable, whether you have difficulty or have been walking vigorously for years.
Dress for the weather and your comfort! Bring walking devices as needed. Hope you can join us!
