COME MARCH WITH US!!! Celebrate America's Birthday with the League of Women Voters of Vermont and walk with us in the 2023 July 3rd Parade in Montpelier. Bring a friend or family member and let's have some FUN!
Let's remind people of the long fight for women to get the vote and how important it is to make our voices heard! We'll have signs and banners for folks to carry, bells to ring and patriotic wind socks on poles to wave!
Dress in your suffragist best - in a white shirt and white or black skirt. Men can wear white shirts and khaki or black pants (a bow tie would be great too). We have 17 neutral colored broad-brimmed hats for women (or you can make your own) and "VOTE" sashes for everyone.
If costumes are not your thing, just wear all white on top and march with us to promote a fair and healthy democracy!
The Parade begins about 6pm following the Montpelier Mile race. We will meet at the line-up which starts around 5pm on Elm Street. We'll have more information and exact location shortly.
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging informed and active participation in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy.
