We're moving our meeting time up to 5:00, starting with our June meeting next Thursday, June 29, when we'll discuss There There, by Tommy Orange. I just finished the book and feel it has so much material for discussion! We'll also save some time to exchange recommendations for summer reading. The discussion will be in-person, with a Zoom-in-from-home option. The Zoom link is: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87831647235?pwd=LzRvK3NMVkJibmhGdXFKeWRhVi9QQT09 and you can also find it on our library webpage calendar under the program date.
Next month's book club discussion will feature Greensboro summer resident Gish Jen. She will be reading at the HCA on Sunday, July 9 at 3:00, and will join us on July 20 -- A WEEK EARLIER THAN USUAL-- at 5:00 for our discussion of her short story collection, Thank You, Mr. Nixon. We'll have copies of the book available for loan starting next Thursday.
We have weekly summer programs for adults planned, starting with a poetry reading on Wednesday, July 12. Most summer programs are Wednesdays at 5:00. Stop in for a program calendar or check it out online. Summer hours start July 1!
