The Georgia Historical Society will host a presentation by Colin Conger on “Captain George Conger and the St. Albans Raid” in recognition of the 150th anniversary of the northernmost land engagement of the Civil War. Conger’s ancestor is considered to be a hero of St. Albans during the raid. The program will be held Wed., Aug. 20, at 7 p.m. at the Georgia Public Library and is free and open to the public.
