The Bristol 4th of July committee is busy getting ready for another Independence Day celebration, which will include the parade on the morning of the 4th. The theme of the parade this year is 'Music of the 1970's'. If you are interested in participating in the parade this year, please reach out and I can email the entry form and information to you. New this year we will also be featuring The Battle of Bands, which will be a friendly competition for bands during the parade. All bands that would like to participate will have the chance to win a cash prize of $500. We welcome bands of any genre, including musical only or with vocals. It will be open to all ages. The bands will be included in the parade procession and can either be a walking group or on a float. Judging of the bands will take place at the conclusion of the parade, at the 4th of July committee booth on the park green. The community and parade spectators will be able to vote for their favorite band until 3:00 on the 4th.
