Come see local race cars and meet their drivers this Friday at the Noyes House Museum as the Morristown Historical Society debuts a new exhibit "Anything for Speed" exploring the history of Auto Racing in Vermont. Did you know that Morrisville once had a race track? Learn about how one of the track's claims to fame is that this is where legendary auto race commentator Ken Squire fist called a race as the track's announcer.
Vermonters have been racing cars for over a century. The exhibit explores the people, race tracks, and events that have made an imprint on Vermont's race car past. Morrisville's track was no stranger to stories, including one where a riot broke out that required the National Card to come in!
The event begins at 6:00 PM. Mekayla Bowen and Marcel Gravel, who both race at Thunder Road, will be there with their race cars. Come visit the exhibit, speak with the drivers, and see a modern race car close up!
