Vermont has the second highest rate of Lyme disease in the country, according to the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The rate of infection in Vermont is nearly 10 times the national average for the illness, the most common tick-borne disease. If Lyme disease is not detected early, the infections can lead to more serious problems which affect the heart as well as the nervous system. This fundraiser is for Carly Buswell (22 year old) with Stage 3 Lyme disease to help her with medications and doctor bills the insurance does not cover.
A Quarter Auction is a cross between an auction, raffle, charity fundraiser, and a home party! Vendors will be auctioning off new items for only 1-6 quarters per bid. You can win items up to $100 for very little. It is a fun afternoon, so be prepared to get addicted! You’ll want to come every month!
