This Saturday - Clear Skies
The Ninth annual Valley Stage Music Festival (www.valleystage.net) is taking place this Saturday, Aug. 9 on Blackbird Swale in Huntington and a beautiful day is predicted once again. Great music, food, a silent auction and family fun will be had by all. This year's lineup includes Vermont's wonderful new duo "Cricket Blue" starting things off at 1:00 p.m. One of New Hampshire's premier bluegrass bands "Crunchy Western Boys" will follow at 2:15. Fiddler extraordinaire Patrick Ross will head up his quartet "Hot Flannel" at 3:45. One of our favorite bands from Brooklyn "The Defibulators" will take the stage at 5:15 and our headliners "The Deadly Gentlemen" finish things off beginning at 7:15.
There'll be plenty of food vendors including Maple Wind Farm, Karyl Kent's New Leaf Catering, the Phantom Food Truck, the Back Porch Bakery and Ewetopia Farm Honey Ice Cream. We'll have a great Silent Auction as well with offerings from many local restaurants, tickets to music events, a snowboard, etc.
Feel free to bring your own food, chairs and blankets. Please leave all glass and pets at home. Consider bringing an extra layer of clothes as the temps can go down by 20 degrees when the sun goes down....and we want you to stick around until the end around 8:30/9:00 p.m.
The concert is wheel chair accessible and we provide handicap friendly facilities.
