Location: Lincoln Town Office

Please stop by the newly planted pollinator garden in front of the town office. Information on each plant in the garden will evolve over time. There will be markers in the garden and more detailed information online. For now, we have a great little team of volunteers who dug in and got the plants in the ground and continue to support the ongoing efforts of maintenance as these little natives establish themselves.

Over time, the need will become less. When placed in their range tolerance for soil, sun, and moisture conditions, planting native plants means minimal watering, little to no fertilizer, great resilience.
They already know they like it here. :)

This is an evolving document. And it is labour of love. As such, it is not complete. As we gather more information, it will be accumulated within this spreadsheet to share with you.
(Note that the colour-filled text boxes loosely coordinate with bloom colour. )

Please note that some of the plants look scrawny, but think of them as underdogs. With support, they may very well surprise you once they are planted. However, in general, do not expect too much this year. Be patient and next year will likely yield fullness and flowering. And one MORE note; to be effectively attractive to pollinators, those little buzzing bugs need to find your plants. The more plants per species that are planted, the better and a range of bloom times assures a consistent food source.

Payment of plants will be made by honour system. Envelopes will be provided and you can drop them into the black drop box safely. We appreciate any donations you would like to make to offset the costs of the pollinator garden. Checks can be made to 'Town of Lincoln' and please write 'Lincoln Conservation Commission' on the memo line. Any donation amount is most welcome. We thank you in advance.
