Summer Reading Program this Friday, Aug. 8
The fourth event of the Argyle Free Library’s Summer “Fizz, Boom, Read” Program is “Learn More About the Night Sky”, and will be held at the Argyle Presbyterian Church’s Fellowship Hall, Friday, 10 a.m. to noon. (Parking and entry is at the back of the church.) Carrie Williams, program coordinator, regrets that the BOCES Portable Planetarium will not be available as planned. However there will be stories, crafts, and other fun activities pertaining to our night sky’s stars and planets. Who ever heard of “edible constellations”? Preschoolers through sixth-graders are welcome to participate in this free program which is supported in part by a grant from the New York State Library, the Argyle Free Library and the Friends of the Library. Nutritious snacks will be provided. Parents of pre-schoolers are requested to accompany their children. Preregistration appreciated but not required.
