Jun 25, 2023, 2 to 3 PM

Sun. June 25 @ 2 PM
Cornwall Church, 2598 Vermont 30, Cornwall, VT

Virtuoso Sando Russo will perform a free concert at the Cornwall Congregational Church featuring works of Chopin and Liszt on the recently acquired Steinway model A3 grand piano. "Brilliant" "Expressive Emotions" "Obsessive Rhythms" and "Living Tradition" are just a few of the words often used to describe Mr. Russo's performances. He resides in New York, but frequents the stages of the most prestigious concert halls around the world. Rarely will you hear a musician with the degree of spirited passion and sensitivity as Sandro. He has given master classes in Europe, South Korea and throughout the U.S. and currently teaches advanced students in New York. He has been compared to Rachmaninoff. You can listen to a sample of his music at https://www.sandrorussopianist.com/about

"I have always been attracted to pieces that give you a world of contrast and strong dynamic mood changes. I am fascinated by the element of good and evil--as in opposing, dueling forces--and how these converge within a piece, coming to life at full range within the romantic repertoire." ~ Sandro Russo

As a Steinway Artist, Sandro is in a special recognition relationship with Steinway & Sons that include Cole Porter, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Arthur Rubinstein, and others.

Unless you are planning a trip to one of the famous concert halls in Paris, Berlin, Palermo, Amsterdam or Tokyo, or even to Carnegie Hall, you should not miss this opportunity to hear Sandro Russo. Prepare to be mesmerized!

The concert is free and donations will be gratefully accepted to continue the Cornwall Community Concerts at the church. Additional Parking at the Town Hall across the street.
