For many of us, overtime, our movement becomes restricted due to past injuries, ongoing stress, or other protective habits that we develop. "Moving with Ease" is a series of Awareness Through Movement® lessons designed to help people move with greater comfort and efficiency. This class is suitable for anyone looking to improve themselves, whether they are recovering from an injury, dealing with chronic pain, or looking to enhance the activities they enjoy.
Each class is taught through verbally-guided movement sequences that focus on different parts of the body, helping people learn to move with greater awareness, freedom, and connectivity. The lessons are gentle and adaptable, making them suitable for people of all ages and abilities.
After each class, participants can expect to feel more connected to their bodies, with improved posture, balance, coordination, and a greater sense of overall well-being. "Moving with Ease" provides a safe, supportive environment for people to explore their movement potential and develop new skills that they can take with them into their daily lives.
About the Feldenkrais Method®:
The Feldenkrais Method® is a sensory-motor learning and movement re-education process for expanding possibilities in movement and life. With an understanding that the mind, body, and environment are inextricably linked, we use movement as an entry point to rewire patterns of thinking, feeling, sensing, and action on conscious and unconscious levels. The method is named after its founder: the brilliant 20th century engineer, physicist, and judo-master Moshe Feldenkrais. Pronunciation note: Feldenkrais rhymes with "rice."
