It's time for another Medicinal Plant Walk with Westford herbalist, Amber Kennedy.
Wednesday June 14th from 5-7pm
Grab a ticket and meet us behind the Westford Elementary School to explore the trails and learn all about the amazing plants that are growing there. Discover how to properly ID both common and extraordinary plants! Get to know some latin names and botanical terminology. Delve into the historic uses of the plants as well as each plants benefit to modern day herbalists. We will even talk about ethical and sustainable foraging techniques if you choose to use the knowledge you begin harvesting plants on your own property. And some plant magic and folklore is peppered in too! Join me for just one walk or for the entire summer series!
A student from one of the last plant walks had this to say:
"Amber is very knowledgeable and engaging. Her walk was a free flowing conversation and energized me despite a cold, wet evening. I learned a lot and enjoyed myself. I will sign up for more walks with her."
These leisurely walks are great for everyone from the beginning herbalist to the outdoor enthusiast and even older kids interested in the natural world (though they must be accompanied by their adult!).
Space is limited and class is held rain or shine so please register ahead of time!
