The Orleans County Conservation District, along with their partners, the Memphremagog Watershed Association and the local lake associations (Seymour Lake Associations and the Echo Lake Protection Assoc) are hosting the Echo-Seymour Lake Watershed Action Plan Kick Off Meeting on June 14.
The meeting will be held virtually on Wednesday, June 14 at 6pm via Zoom (see the meeting link below).
The purpose of this meeting is to introduce the project leadership team, answer questions, and to provide a basic introduction to the LWAP process (to explain what it is and to share the work plan, steps, and timeline).
This meeting is the beginning of the process of identifying through assessments the threats to the lake ecosystems of Echo and Seymour. The end product is a planning guide that prioritizes restoration and protection actions for the subwatershed. The effort of developing an LWAP requires local interest, support, and participation. This meeting is open to the public: lake residents, town residents, lake users, town officials, and anyone else who loves our lakes or is concerned about water quality.
