Event: Aug 5, 2014, 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM

On August 5th from 4:30pm - 8:00pm, the St. Albans Police Department, the St. Albans Community Justice Center, and Voices Against Violence will host National Night Out in Taylor Park.

National Night Out is an annual event designed to generate support and participation in local anti-crime programs, and strengthen community spirit and police-community partnerships. The St. Albans Police will be providing hotdogs, ice cream and drinks, as well as family friendly activities such as a bouncy castle, face painting and a silent auction featuring local businesses.

For the fourth year in a row, the National Night Out event will also be a fundraiser for the Parallel Justice Program and Voices Against Violence. Voices Against Violence is a victims' advocacy service working to end domestic, sexual violence and stalking through outreach, advocacy, family services support, and Laurie's House, the local domesti violence shelter. The Parallel Justice Program provides immediate and tangible assistance to victims of crime; program staff reach out to victims to offer assistance and meet their individual needs in the wake of a crime.

Thanks everyone we hope to see you there and remember you don't have to have a business to be a sponsor.
