The Cabot Community Contra Dance is growing by leaps and bounds! We had a great multi-generational crowd of over 30 people at the May dance, and hope you will join us at the next dance, on Friday, June 9! The dance runs 7:30-10:00 pm, with a short intro session for new folks at 7:15, at the Willey Building (Cabot Town Hall, 3084 Main St). Karen Mueller-Harder will be leading the dance, and she will teach you everything you need to know.
Humans of all ages are welcome, and anyone can dance with anyone, generally changing partners with each dance; dances will be taught with gender-free terminology. You can come to the dance alone, with a friend or sweetheart, or your whole family! The dances are taught, and if you've never been to a contra dance, you can come at 7:15 for a little pre-teaching, if you wish, and then we'll build upon what you learn throughout the evening.
Admission is on a sliding scale, $5-10, or you can bring some finger-food refreshments to share at the break! You can bring your water bottle, or water and cups will be available. Masks are welcomed but not required, and the lovely large windows will be open for good ventilation! You'll enjoy the live music, played by talented area musicians, led by fiddler Franklin Heyburn, and the joy of dancing with other people in a playful atmosphere.

This will be the last evening dance for the school year, but we will resume in the fall, and we will be hosting an afternoon contra dance with Luke Donforth at the Cabot Arts and Music Festival on July 29th. Info at: https://www.cabotarts.org/arts-and-music-festival
Hope to see you at the dance!
