New Haven Community Pollinator Garden - Save Time and Money with Companion Planting
Sat., June 17, 10 – 11 a.m.
Location: New Haven Congregational Church (91 Town Hill Rd.)
Is your garden plagued by pests like cabbage moth caterpillars, cucumber beetles, tomato hornworm? Come find out the secrets of companion planting that will make you a successful gardener. Veteran farmer Grayson Wyman will share with you his decades of knowledge and the favorite companion plant combinations he uses in his 2 large vegetable gardens. With a large garden, he doesn't have time to deal with pests so he learned how to garden the smart way, letting nature work for him. He uses plants successfully together to enhance each other's health and growth. We will have handouts and some free plants for you to use in your own garden. Refreshments will be served.
Please note: For children-centered gardening (and other) activities, we would recommend attending the "Messy Church", same day, same place, but later from 4 to 6 pm.
